10 tips for finding & maintaining fitness motivation
Staying motivated to workout can sometimes be a challenge, but with the right strategies and smart tips, you can make exercise a regular and fun part of your life. Here are some tips to help you find and maintain gym and fitness motivation:
Set goals
- Set both long-term goals to strive towards and goals that you want to reach faster. Break down your long-term goals into smaller sub-goals. It gives you something to celebrate along the way and keeps the motivation alive.
Find your passion
- Try different forms of exercise and find what you really love. It can be anything from dance and yoga to strength training and running. Here you get some inspiration from us on different training sessions you can add to your routine:

Create a workout routine
- Determine specific days and times for your training. Having a set routine makes it easier to stay consistent and avoid putting off exercise.
Vary the training
- Avoid boredom and lack of motivation by varying your training. Try new exercises, fitness classes and activities to keep things interesting and fun.
Find a workout buddy
- Training with someone makes it both more fun and gives a little extra responsibility, it's not so much fun to cancel the training session and leave your friend alone. A training partner can also provide support, encouragement and inspiration when motivation fails. You simply help each other forward.
Create a playlist for the workout
- Compile a playlist of your favorite songs to boost your energy during your workout. Music is a powerful motivator.
Work out in stylish sports clothes
- It actually becomes a bit more fun to work out in nice sports clothes. Björn Borg's sportswear has both a stylish design and high functionality, with carefully selected materials, a comfortable fit and full freedom of movement for active training sessions. Give yourself rest between sessions
- Overtraining can lead to both injuries and lost motivation. Be sure to build rest days into your training routine to allow your body to recover for the next session.
Keep your motivation up & reach your workout goals!
Remember that exercise motivation can vary, and it's normal to feel less motivated at times. You don't always have to do long workouts, incorporating shorter workouts and activities can help keep motivation going.
